Tom received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he focused on media, technology, and internet law, and simultaneously completed Yale's Documentary Film Workshop program. His co-authored paper, examining legal issues in Microsoft's Bing It On marketing campaign, can be found in the Loyola Consumer Law Review. Tom received his B.A. in English and Psychology from Cornell University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
A California attorney, Tom cut his legal teeth in the rapid-fire world of technology start-ups at a leading law firm in the heart of Silicon Valley, shepherding dozens of start-ups through the myriad issues confronting early-stage companies. He's seen firsthand the critical importance of crafting compelling business narratives and building corporate brands - from setting your company up on the right foot and navigating labyrinthine legal structures to developing passionate product pitches or attracting venture capital investments.
Tom has considerable experience in narrative and media development, having written, produced, and directed original media content for state-wide political campaigns, theaters, and outreach programs. He is the principal creative architect behind Gestalt: Steam & Cinder, a thrilling, nostalgia-fueled action adventure title currently in development at Metamorphosis Games for PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch.
